New York OSHA Safety Training is Required by State Law.OSHA Safety Training for workers in the state of New York is mandated by state law in many jobs.  New York has a State Plan, approved by OSHA in June of 1984.  The New York Public Employees Safety and Health (PESH) Bureau is part of the New York Department of Labor with main offices in the state capitol of Albany. New York PESH covers all state and local government workplaces in the state, including state, county, town, and village governments; as well as state and local government authorities, school districts, and paid and volunteer fire departments. OSHA maintains coverage over all private sector workplaces and federal agencies including the United States Postal Service (USPS).

 

New York OSHA Safety Training Special State Requirements

Special note for New York OSHA Safety Training: According to New York State law, every worker needs to be certified as having completed an OSHA 10 hour safety training course on public work projects of $250,000 or more. The intent is to require that all employees of public work contractors to receive such training “prior to the performing any work on the project. Proof of completion may include a copy of a course completion certificate or an OSHA Wallet Card.

Special circumstances for New York City:  The OSHA 10 hour construction course is required on all NYC DOB major public and private projects, and certifications must be current within 5 years. The requirements went into effect on July 18, 2008.

OSHA 10 Hour Courses For Workers in New York

Federal OSHA guidelines and regulations have set forth standards for essential safety training through their Outreach Training Program. We offer Nationally-Accepted Courses for those workers in New York. For construction workers, our OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training Course will lead to your compliance with state law. OSHA 30 Hour Courses For Construction Workers in New York

OSHA Construction Safety Training  may also include valuable instruction at the supervisor level and above. Construction company management, foremen, line supervisors and executives will benefit from this Nationally-Accepted Instruction. The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Training Course can be taken online or on-site in about four days.

This course provides access to a downloadable Study Guide FREE of charge. Similar to their 10 hour course counterpart, the student receives a certificate of course completion immediately upon successful passing of the final exam. The appropriate OSHA Wallet Card follows within a few weeks.

All courses, 10 hour and 30 hour, are Nationally-Accepted. The courses can be taken online or through group training at the company.  Those choosing on-site training will receive corporate discounts and preferred billing accommodations.
