REGULATIONS AND JURISDICTIONS
Since the state of Massachusetts does not have an approved state OSHA program, worker safety regulations are regulated under the guidance of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Under the General Duty Clause of the OSH Act, all employers, no matter what size, are required, by law, to provide a safe and healthy environment for their workers.
OSHA Training in Springfield follows Massachusetts law that went into effect in 2004 which states that all employees to be employed at the work site need to complete the OSHA 10 hour construction course before beginning work at the work site. Any employee found on a work site subject to this section without documentation of successful completion of the OSHA 10 hour course shall be subject to immediate removal. The Massachusetts law specifically states “At least 10 hours” so the OSHA 30 hour construction course would also enable the worker to meet these requirements.
