Rhode Island OSHA Safety Training

Rhode Island OSHA Safety Training is Available Online or On-Site for State Law Compliance.OSHA Safety Training is provided as compliance curriculum for companies based in the state of Rhode Island. We provide our OSHA 10 Hour Construction or OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Courses. Our courses are Nationally-Approved and are taught by OSHA-Authorized Instructors. Access our downloadable, FREE Study Guide is included with all outreach training courses to help the student with the course. Each of these OSHA 10 hour courses takes about two days to complete. Once you’ve completed the final exam you may immediately print out your certificate of completion for job-related requirements. Your OSHA Wallet Card from the Department of Labor will be sent to you within 4-6 weeks in the mail.

The Rhode Island Department of Health maintains a large quantity of information regarding workplace safety. The state organization has an OSHA Consultation program which has a stated mission “To promote the safety and health of Rhode Islander”s working in small to medium size private businesses by identifying hazards and ensuring their timely abatement.” This program is targeted mostly to businesses with less than 250 employees. Rhode Island Safety Training follows OSHA Guidlines and directives since it is NOT a state plan participant.

OSHA Safety Training Special State Requirements for Rhode Island

Special note for Rhode Island OSHA Safety Training: According to Rhode Island State law, the state requires that all workers on municipal and state construction projects with a total project cost of over $100,000 complete the OSHA 10 hour Construction Course. This requirement is for on-site workers, including, construction workers, contractors, project developers, site managers, and/or any other individual(s) working on a job site. Law enforcement officers and/or job site security individuals are exempt, as are all federal, state and municipal government inspectors. Fines for non compliance are between $250 and $950, per offense, per day.  This law went into effect in 2004.

As in virtually all situations, the OSHA 10 hour Course completion card or other proof, like a completion certificate is required to show compliance.

Our OSHA Safety Training Programs includ courses for supervisors, foremen, line managers and executives on basic safety and the principles of managing risk. These courses are longer, four days, and cover much more material at a deeper depth. The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Course is available through computer-based, online instruction. The course also includes a downloadable, FREE study guide. The student may take up to 180 days to complete the course once started. On all computer online courses, logins to multiple computers are allowed with no limit to the number of logins you take to complete the course in the established time frame.

Note that all of our online courses can be taught on-site by our OSHA-Authorized instructors. They can come to your location and teach multiple students at once.
